We invest in companies that use technology to re-shape markets.
The name is Greek: Timon— “the one influenced by honor,” and also “fairly priced.” The firm is its own biggest investor: patient capital, less drama from external pressures. Often the first institutional check a founder ever takes.
This grew out of fifteen years of angel investing — a filmmaker’s habit of finding the story early, applied to founders and markets. Capital in Africa is scarce, so entrepreneurs must be efficient; the work is helping them make smart choices for their teams and their market.
