The Idea

Every visitor to the Acropolis, Delphi, Mycenae, or Olympia has the same silent problem: they are standing on the exact ground where the world was made and they cannot see it.

A book is too abstract. A tour guide is too rushed, too crowded, often incorrect. Wikipedia has no soul.

Peripatos puts a globally respected scholar in your ear, at your pace, at the right moment — with sound design that layers agora crowds, waves against Piraeus, or the crackle of a Panathenaic torch when the narration calls for it.

It is the difference between visiting a monument and being visited by it.

01

Named scholars, not anonymous audioguides.

Every companion is signed. Chaniotis, Beaton, Hughes, Stampolidis, Cartledge — and a new generation of Greek scholars in equal measure.

02

Written to the place, not from a script.

Each presenter walks the site with us first. The final script references what your feet and eyes are doing right now.

03

Sound-designed like a documentary.

Foley, ambient field recordings, and an original score composed to each chapter's emotional arc. Never gimmicky, always story-serving.

04

Silent until you're standing right.

No auto-play. No push notifications shouting through the sanctuary. The default state is silence.
