The idea

Every stone at Delphi is a broken sentence. Chronos finishes it.

Standing in the sanctuary today, you see column stumps, a stray capital, a rectangle of foundation where a treasury used to be. It takes work to see the temple. It takes a book to see the paint on it. It takes a lifetime to see who was standing there in 380 BC.

Chronos does that work for you. As you walk, a scholar-narrator tells you what happened on this exact patch of ground, and the app shows you what stood on it — modelled from the surviving archaeological evidence, from the published surveys of the French School and the Delphi4Delphi project, and from the record of Greek polychromy that Renaissance whitewashing tried to erase.

This is a working preview. Delphi is our first sanctuary. Olympia, Epidaurus, Sounion and Mycenae are next.

What this is

A cinematic guide, not a museum app.

We write the scripts the way a great documentary is written — by working archaeologists and by working editors. We record them the way a great audiobook is recorded. And we place them, waypoint by waypoint, exactly where the story happened. The full release features a real archaeologist as narrator. This preview uses an AI voice, and every waypoint image is rebuilt from published evidence.

What's next

  • 02 Olympia — the stadium, the Zeus, the sculptors' workshop
  • 03 Epidaurus — the theatre and the sleeping cure
  • 04 Sounion — sunset at Poseidon
  • 05 Mycenae — the lion gate and the shaft graves
